CU Recruiting Update

I am completely bored at work today so here’s an update on CU’s recruiting efforts.

Conference recruiting rankings as of 8/30 (based on quantity and quality of recruits as per their douchie ranking system)

1.       SEC – average recruit per team – 15.7

2.       Big 12 –average recruit per team – 12.9

3.       ACC - average recruit per team – 15.5

4.       Big 10 - average recruit per team – 12.9

5.       Big East - average recruit per team – 14.4

6.       Pac 12 - average recruit per team – 11.3

Pretty shocking that Pac 12 ranked last amongst the 6 big conferences. Pac 12 is followed by MWC and Conference USA.

Rankings within the Pac 12

1.       Arizona State – 18 commits – 0/5 star, 1/4 star, 15/3 stars, 6/2 stars, 1 NR (Team ranking 18)

2.       USC – 9 commits – (3 top 100 commits) 1/5 star, 5/4 stars, 3/3 stars (Team ranking 25)

3.       Washington – 17 commits -  0/5 stars, 3/4 stars, 9/3 stars, 5/2 stars (Team ranking 27)

4.       Arizona – 14 commits – 0/5 stars, 0/4 stars, 12/3 stars, 2/2 stars, 1 NR (Team ranking 39)

5.       Stanford – 11 commits (1 Top 100 commit) 0/5 stars, 2/4 stars, 8/3 stars, 1/2 star (Team ranking 40)

6.       UCLA – 10 commits 0/5 stars, 2/4 stars, 6/3 stars, 3/2 stars (Team ranking 44)

7.       Oregon – 8 commits 0/5 stars, 2/4 stars, 6/3 stars (Team ranking 48)

8.       Colorado – 13 commits 0/5 stars, 0/4 stars, 10/3 stars, 2/2 stars, 1 NR (Team ranking 49)

9.       Oregon State – 10 commits (1 top 100 commit) 0/5 stars, ¼ star, 6/3 stars, 3/2 stars (Team ranking 55)

10.   Cal – 5 commits (1 top 100 commit) 1/5 star, 2/4stars, 1/3 star, 1/2 star (Team ranking 63)

11.   Utah – 9 commits 0/5 stars, 0/4 stars, 7/3 stars, 2/2 stars (Team ranking 64)

12.   Washington State – 11 commits 0/5 stars, 0/4 stars, 7/3 stars, 3/2 stars, 1 NR (Team ranking 65)

Big 10’s newest loser

1.       Nebraska – 6 commits 0/5 stars, 3/4 stars, 2/3 stars, 1/2 star

What jumps out here is how low Oregon is. I also am continually shocked at how bad Tedford is at recruiting. Colorado is ranked 49th nationally in recruiting ahead of Iowa 50, Maryland 51, Minnesota 52, Mississippi  53, Georgia Tech 54 and… Nebraska 60
