Colorado_medium B1G 2011//Four And Out: Looking at the B1G Non-Conference Schedule, Week 4 - Off Tackle Empire

Colorado at Ohio State:  Like the SD State game for Michigan, this is a game I expect OSU to win.  Even though they're a BCS school, Colorado isn't a very good football team, Ohio State is at home, and the noise of the tattoo controversy will be well in the rear view mirror.  The Buckeyes should have handled their first big test on the road against Miami, the quarterback situation should be ironed out, for the most part, so there's no reason to believe that they won't blow Colorado out.  A loss would be disastrous for the Buckeyes.

Colorado_medium Preseason position reviews: Cornerback - Pac-12 Blog - ESPN - I'm sure you can guess where we were slotted here...

Colorado: The Buffaloes ranked 112th in the nation in pass efficiency defense in 2010, surrendering 27 touchdown passes and a stunning 68 percent completion rate. And they did that poorly with two NFL draft choices playing corner, in Jimmy Smith and Jalil Brown. There were more than a few observers of Buffs spring practices who are worried about this position. Parker Orms, who seems to be more of a natural safety, was hurt last season (knee) and missed spring practices but he tops the depth chart at one corner anyway, while Arthur Jaffee is No. 1 on the right side. This is a decided "we'll see."

Colorado_medium When Is The Pac-12 Not The Pac-12: When It Is........A Bear-Buff Matchup! - California Golden Blogs - Granted, they did ask us for some input on this but we weren't able to to get back to them in time. Also, Speedy had a pretty bad game in Berkeley last year. But Cal fans will be in for a surprise if they think they're going to come into Folsom this year and get an easy victory.

On the ground, their stable of running backs are more dangerous as receivers than as between-the-tackles runners. They did running back by committee last year because of injury issues...and because no one really emerged as their premier guy.

A look around the Pac-12...
