To help welcome our new Pac-12 friends in their pilgrimage's to Boulder we are creating The Ralphie Report Guide To Boulder.
So here's how this will work. On the dates you see below we will be taking nominations for entries into each of the categories below. You'll have two days to nominate per category. After two days I will put up the nomination post for the next category and include a poll for the previous one. The top three vote getters in each category will be featured in the guide so don't be afraid to offer up some different nominations and make sure to come back and vote in each category. The timing of this will take us right into fall practice. We're getting close...
- Best Burger - 7/12 - Dark Horse, The Sink, Mountain Sun
- Best Breakfast - 7/14 - Village Coffee Shop, The Buff, Lucile's
- Best Sandwich - 7/18 - Salvaggio's, Half Fast Subs, Snarf's
- Best Burrito/Mexican - 7/20
- Best Pizza - 7/22
- Best "Nice" Dinner - 7/24
- Best Dive Bar - 7/26
- Best Sports Bar - 7/28
- Best Upscale Bar - 7/30
- Best Brewery/Brewpup - 8/1
- Best Tailgate Location For Visiting Fans - 8/3
- Best Inexpensive Hotel - 8/5
- Best Expensive Hotel - 8/7
- Best Things To Do On Sunday After The Game - 8/9

Haven’t eaten there since they moved out of the Best Western. Cosmo’s would be a close second.

I’ve never been to Cosmo’s. I’m going to Ucla and Stanford, and I want to go to tOSU and Hawai’i. But I might need a trip to Boulder to try all of these suggestions I’ve never had (and Lucille’s breakfast). Donations accepted.
I found Fatty J’s to be decidedly unimpressive. The blunts were good finger food, but I’d go Abo’s before Fatty J’s as far as greasy thin crust on the Hill after last call.

Yup the hotel right next to the Outlook
I think it turned into the green room or something. The couple that owned it split up and fought over the name. The husband decided to open up his own pizza joint (pun intended) but changed the name to skinny J’s. Looks like things have ended nicely and he has received permission to sell some pies under the OG name on the hill.

oh, yeah. That was bar space in my day
I remember dropping about $200 on beers for me and my friends after the Patriots beat the Rams in the Super Bowl, because I won like a grand. I don’t remember the name of the bar- just that it had a pool table and looked decidedly like it was a bar that belonged in a Best Western. (I lived at like 30th and Euclid, I think)

Others are good as well, but Beau Jo’s gets my vote because it’s pretty uniquely Colorado.

this seems to be 2 decidedly different votes, for a dichotomous category
Pete’s (deservedly) wins best burrito, and Efrain’s wins best Mexican. And then Santiago’s wins best cheap ass version of both (via green chile). The only thing the Rio should win is strongest faux Mexican alcoholic drink.

Cosmos for 3am Pizza....
…..for sitting down and eating pizza at a reasonable hour, dunno….in college it was all cheap delivery deals and pizza slices at late hours… Don’t know if I ever sat down at a place at a reasonable hour and ever ate pizza….
