Steve Fairchild out at CSU
Fairchild will not return in 2012 as Rams football coach
Seen some interesting threads about who is next at CSU:
Pat Hill: Fresno State
Randy Shannon: Former UMiami
Turner GIll: Former KU/Buffalo Coach
Return of Sonny Lubick: Former CSU
Brent Venables: Defensive Coordinator of OU
Gary Barnett: Former CU??
Jim Tessel: tOSU
Urban Meyer: Haha I kid I kid...
Also have been reading on their threads that its CU who wanted to keep it at Mile High. For cereal?

No way Venables would take that job
Lamb fans are smoking dung if they think they have a chance at a big name hire like that
Hey ya never know, Ft Collins does have that certain appeal....
HAHAHAHAHA, i really do crack myself up sometimes….
GIVE UP- At some point, hanging in there just makes you look like an even bigger loser.
Barnett interested in CSU job

I would love to see Barnett get back into coaching… just not at CSU
Shoulder to Shoulder
Randy Shannon would be awesome for them
But you have to think that he’s going to take the D-coordinator route before a low-level HC job

I would love 35-pt comeback paybacks
on a yearly basis.

he was 20-30 at Buffalo
and Buffalo has sucked in the two years after he left so apparently he didn’t set the world on fire with his recruiting either. He’s just one of those guys who’s parlayed one decent year into a permanent spot on the “hot young coaches” list.
I hope he DOES go to CSU so not only can we smoke CSU every year we can smoke an ex-Husker too.
If I was a CSU fan
of the names on that list (most are totally unrealistic) Pat Hill would interest me the most. I’ve always kind of liked him. Maybe it’s just the mustache though…
Maybe they'll hire Dave Logan
I’m tired of hearing people point to his success at Mullen. Oh you mean the private school that is only one of 3 schools who gets to hand pick their players? It says a lot that they didn’t win it all again this year with Cyler Miles still on the team… So PLEASE CSU, hire him!
Not that I dislike Logan. I am more annoyed with the idiots who think he’s qualified to jump to a D1 school.

Logan was also a state champion at Arvada West and Chatfield
He had Steve Cutlip at AW, and recruited LenDale White to Chatfield from South, but he won. And Chatfield especially is a terrible destination for a football coach.
I would never advocate for Logan to head a D1 program, and I doubt that he would leave his current jobs, but don’t act like he’s only won because he’s at Mullen. (and incidentally, his predecessor as Mullen head coach is the current OC at Northwestern)
Look, I've already told Utah to suck it. There's no going back now.
Oh that is hilarious if true.
I know the women up there are a little inbred looking, but geeze…..

going to be so important to have a stout defense
with all the shoot out wizards being added to the pac12
Needless to say, the fan base here in Dallas is a little upset with him
Akward….

Sounds like ASU may have a legal issue
Offer Given. Acceptance provided. Offer pulled…. um, that can’t happen unless the offeree is willing to provide damages. Their AD is a genius.

I don't think so
Unless there’s something signed, I doubt there’s room for legal recourse.
The larger issue for ASU is credibility. What coach in his right mind would even look at this job after they offered and then pulled those offers to both Sumlin and Jones?
Look, I've already told Utah to suck it. There's no going back now.
the article
states the offer was accepted. hence my comment. oral acceptance is acceptance, esp. if it’s common in the industry.

nothing in that article shows anything legally binding
Jones’s agent himself said that there were “a few tweaks left.” That, in an of itself gives enough room for the school to pull the offer, regardless of their absurd rationale.
Look, I've already told Utah to suck it. There's no going back now.
well
i didn’t see anything from the agent in the article, so I’m not sure where you got that quote. Regardless, I was simply commenting on the fact that the article said there was an offer. it was accepted. the offer was pulled (rescinded). when this is typically done for multi-million-dollar deals and the accepting party has damages, the rescinding party gets sued.

Might have to settle for a 3rd tier coach at this point...
Dan Hawkins is ready to go!!!

seriously....
what are these AD’s thinking?
The good news is
that, fellow south members, ASU and UCLA’s complete bungeling of their hiring situation can only help CU. Especially when it comes to recruiting.
Shoulder to Shoulder
we seriously need to take advantage of this.
chaos in the ASU and UCLA programs, a rebuilding UA which leaves Utah and USC to deal with.
UCLA apparently going after Sark
Good luck with that, Bruins.
