CU came behind West Virginia (12-4) 54; Georgia (13-3) 52; Temple (12-4) 44; Cincinnati (16-2) 42; Gonzaga (13-5) 39; Utah State (16-2) 24.
Let the lobbying begin. I think this is about right and actually am a little surprised at receiving that many votes. The losses in the road earlier this year probably kept us out of the top 25. That said we have some very winnable games coming up against Nebraska on Tuesday and Oklahoma on Saturday. Win 2 road games and stay undefeated in the Big 12 and we should go into the KU game ranked.
Most people have predicted 9-10 wins should get CU in the top 6 of the Big 12. ESPN has projected that the Big 12 will receive 6 invites. We are way ahead of schedule so let's hope this team keeps playing with a chip on its shoulder.
For those complaining about the $45 dollar tickets to the KU game, PONY UP! You pay for the product on the flour and these kids are giving CU everything they have. CU hasn't played this well in 15 years and the match up against Kansas should be well worth the money.
