Around SBN: Seahawks Trade for TE Kellen Winslow

Interesting update. Everything I had seen prior to this had Hawkins starting.

Scary

This week’s depth chart has Hawkins at #1 NB. Hopefully that’s correct and there was a misunderstanding in the interview or something (although Ringo said it too). I don’t like the idea of Mahnke lining up against SEC WRs one bit.

Coach Hawk said it is Mahnke as well in today's presser

Jalil Brown also mentioned it today. Looks to be a done deal.

and he's presumably been focusing more on size since he moved to LB

shudder.
I’ll say it again- Mario Conte to NB. We need depth and he’s not getting on the field at WR

Well...

When he played it in Lincoln in 2008 he did ok…. So hopefully he will have another big game-ish in him?

I hope with all the injuries

that nickle back doesn’t mean their 40 time.

CollegeFootballNews.com predicts a CU win this weekend

http://cfn.scout.com/2/1005681.html

Georgia has the better team, but Colorado is rest with two weeks to prepare. As bad as the Buffs have been over the last few years, they’re solid at home, for the most part, beating Oklahoma in 2007, a strong West Virginia team in 2008, and Texas A&M last year. Georgia’s problems go beyond Green, and the season will sink further into the abyss as the Buffs play surprisingly well in a close win. CFN Prediction: Colorado 23 … Georgia 19

One thing to remember:

We probably won’t need as much of the nickel as against Cal and Hawai’i. UGA runs a pretty traditional pro set. We just need an LB who can cover Orson Charles.
