He become unmotivated after the position change?
anyway it sucks he seemed like a good guy and one hell of an athlete
Well I'm glad this didn't happen earlier
Paul Richardson cited Evans as a reason for coming here. Evans was his High School QB.
Phew

Hopefully it's just frustration
He’s not going to be eligible anywhere else this year, either. And I can’t imagine he would have said anything good to Richardson if he was considering transferring before the news. “You should definitely come here. I mean, I’m unhappy and looking to leave, but you’ll totally dig it.”
Obviously I don't know the whole story
But, this is just yet another case where Hawkins moved a guy to a new position and he wanted to transfer? I remember being surprised when the switch to TE happened b/c he was a pretty good QB recruit. Hopefully, he stays but either way I wish him the best.
Also, just a thought, yes guys get moved around all of the time at every school but it seems (to me at least) that if the team is winning these issues don’t happen very often b/c guys just want to get on the field.
Anyway, I got my tickets to the CU-Cal game today and the season cannot get here soon enough.

F'n Hawkins
I am tired of this crap, we get someone decent and what happens-
Switch his position – decides to transfer
Becomes Acedemically ineligible
Won’t allow him to play – decides to transfer
Gets drunk and kicked off the team or suspended
I can excuse a few incidents, but this is becoming routine. Why tell these kids they have a legit shot at playing QB when you have no intention of giving them a shot. You can’t tell me that Clark Evans could not give you at least as good of a chance to win and make plays as Hawkins or Hansen.

"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem" - Duffman
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun" - Ash from Army of Darkness
"H.I., you're young and you got your health, what you want with a job?" - Evelle from Raising Arizona

Hey
I’d get pretty unhappy if three more young guys came in and buried me on the depth chart after I had to sit out because I couldn’t hack it in my summer school classes.
And I have to believe they wouldn’t have moved him from QB if he was showing progress and potential there

im sorry
But how do you base evans being better than what we have? Have you seen Clark at practice behind center? The stupid hatred for the guys we have in place is ridiculous. Why is it hawks fault this guy can’t get a 2.0? People need to relax

Boo to this news!
I remember all the hubbub around here when Clark signed. Not quite the program-changing recruit we thought he was, eh? Hopefully he gets his situation in order and stays here but whatever…
What I’m still wondering about is Simmons. Seems like we’re hearing conflicting stuff about his status with the team.
