SportingNews Team Countdown - #74 Colorado Buffaloes
Not a huge surprise. No one in the media is going to bet high on the Buffs this year as Sporting News predicts Colorado to go 3-9 and finish 5th in the Big 12 North. I wouldn't call this a great review as Dave Curtis says Dan Hawkins' still has "charisma" and no mention of DT Nate Bonsu aiding on the defensive line:
Why we know we're right: The offensive line stunk a year ago, allowing 44 sacks in 12 games, and all five starters are back. Then there's the defense, where a lack of discipline and speed hurt early in the season. The secondary must tackle better and force more turnovers, and defensive tackles Curtis Cunningham and Will Pericak must hold up better against the run.

What a useless preview
What can you expect from a national writer that probably knows nothing about the team though… That’s why I come here.
“the Buffs have an undisputed starting quarterback, senior Tyler Hansen, for the first time in three years”
First of all he’s not a senior, secondly, does this guy actually know something we don’t? I really doubt it, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Cody was starting against CSU.
didn't even get last year's record right
4-8? in our dreams!
Nowhere to go but up!
I really think that this team will surprise – not expecting a 10 win season but 7-8 wins seems reasonable. Would have been nice to have Simas around

Who cares?
Predictions and “Power Rankings” do nothing except give journalists a job. I expect us to improve on last year’s performance, but not much. 5-7 is probably realistic. 6-6 would be a miracle.
