Markques Simas Working His Way Back?

Ncf_a_simas_576_medium

What seemed like a closed door may be open, at least a crack.  Kyle Ringo is reporting that there is an avenue for Markques Simas to work his way back into the team's good graces. Clearly his teammates are irritated with his choices but also they recognize what he brings to the team.  Can he do it? Can he straighten up and fly right? Is he worth the hassle?

The only thing that scares me is Hansen's quote seems like they are moving on without him

"He was going to be a big time player for us and things didn’t really work out," quarterback Tyler Hansen said. "It’s real disappointing what he did. Hopefully he will learn his lesson and grow from it and be a better man, but it’s a real big loss for our team offensively. We just need some new guy to step up. We need Jarrod Darden to step up, Will Jefferson to step up, one of those guys to step up and take his role and hopefully we can overcome it."

Yea, that's what I meant

about them being irritated. Hansen, the presumptive leader of the offense, makes no effort to disguise his feelings on the issue. Can you blame him? Simas is the ultimate frustration for the Buffs. Loads of talent but lacking the common sense to make good choices. At some point, you just figure he can’t be trusted or relied upon.

We shall see . . . sure could use him in the “O”. I think Clemons nails it, they’re not good enough to have a guy like him on the sidelines.

marcus simas

the guy has put himself, and the team in a difficult postion. we don’t know the details, but………it’s 2010, and driving while sloshed is a really, really, big deal. back in the day, we’d just get an escort back to the ghetto, but now, well, ya get to talk to rich at “bailbonds are us”.

wideout wipeout

now, for an editorial note. agreed that the buffs have some guys that may be able to fill the “simas void”. still, the guy can really be spectactular, ‘talkin’ here……….. all b-12 spectacular, and spectacular is difficult to replace. even when overachievers do just that. this is a real blow, and i mean in the worst sense of the word.
