Karr quarterback Munchie Legaux no longer Colorado commitment, Still Considering CU
No big surprise here. If you are fully committed to the Buffs, then he wouldn't have take the two visits to Cincinnati and Arizona the past few weekends. It doesn't sound good, though.
Legaux said Tuesday on the eve of National Signing Day that he had withdrawn his commitment to Colorado, but still was considering the Buffaloes of the Big XII Conference along with emerging Big East power Cincinnati as finalists for his services.
Reed, the state's top rated prospect and an Auburn commitment, still was considering making a switch to LSU, Thibodaux Coach Dennis Lorio said.
Legaux, the nation's No. 12 rated dual threat quarterback, according to Rivals.com, said he would make his final selection in time for a Wednesday morning signing ceremony at the Algiers school where approximately 10 Karr players are expected to sign grant-in-aids.
Questions about the job security of Colorado Coach Dan Hawkins, Legaux said, led him to re-examine his college choice and take recent official visits to Cincinnati and Arizona. Hawkins enters his fifth season at Colorado in 2010 with a 16-33 record that includes 3-9 in 2009 and 5-7 in 2008.
"I'm uncommitted as we speak,'' Legaux said. "I have told Colorado so. They said that they know (how) recruiting (works) and they know how to handle it. I have had second thoughts about Colorado, because at a time when most people were closing doors on me as a quarterback Cincinnati opened a door for me.''
Colorado and Cincinnati, under new Coach Butch Jones, formerly of Central Michigan, both are recruiting the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Legaux as a quarterback rather than as an athlete and both feature Spread offenses. Legaux also had official offers from Michigan, Oregon and Baylor to play as a quarterback, but Legaux eliminated those schools.
Colorado returns its top two quarterbacks in junior Tyler Hansen and senior Cody Hawkins while Cincinnati returns senior Zach Collaros at quarterback where he saw significant playing time during a 12-0 regular season when senior starter Tony Pike was injured.
"(The schools) are basically the same, but the coaching situation is the main thing,'' Legaux said. "I have developed good relationships with both coaching staffs. They both offer me the same situations. Colorado has the coaching situation and Cincinnati has a returning quarterback.''

Great...
what about this Mobley character? He would be a nice signing day addition (especially if we lose Legaux).
He would be a very nice addition.
But he has work to do in the classroom and probably is a juco candidate

Bummer,
Guess BuffNation better get ready for a long Signing Day. Sounds like he’s probably a no-go to the Buffs. He looks like a playmaker, too.
On the flipside, some of these “under the radar” recruits look to have some talent. Who know’s, Hirschman could make a run at some PT but it’s doubtful that Hawk will stake his “last” season on a true freshman.
I noticed on cubuffs
That they won’t be updating throughout the day, only after all the names are in. It is going to be a long day…
Trying to stay positive....
There’s an article on Hirschman in the post this morning…FYI
