Around SBN: New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI Ring Unveiled

Congradulations to Nate Solder and Jimmy Smith. They both deserve it. No idea how the coaches left Speedy completely of the list, not even an honorable mention, but it's freaking ridiculous.

Tom Kensler just wrote a piece on the snub

“It’s stuff like this that has Colorado athletic officials wishing they could officially begin competition in the expanded Pac-12 Conference today: CU junior tailback Rodney Stewart became the first Big 12 rusher in history to average at least 100 yards per game and not be even selected "honorable mention" on the all-conference teams that were announced Tuesday.” Tom Kensler – Denver Post

Good riddance Big 12

What a freaking joke

Eight running backs were named ahead of the third leading rusher in the entire conference.

That tells you how much a team's W/L goes to making the players look good

It seems like so many people start in the W/L column and go from there without taking (or having?) the time to look at the underlying statistics.

My favorite part is Rodney Stewart

was named honorable mention last season, a 3 win team. He had 504 less yards in 2009 than he did this year. What a joke. Yes the Buffs were a five win team this year but no way he should have been left off the team.

I'd forgotten that he was honorable mention last year

That’s a damn good point. I wonder how the voting structure works for the players to appear on the honorable mention for their team…

Quick glance, I counted 102 players named to the honorable

mention team. Doesn’t look like there is a cap anywhere on who gets in

Stewart didn't just get snubbed there

I was kind of surprised he didn’t get OPOY at the team banquet

absolutely, where would the Buffs have been without Speedy?

Nobody capable behind him, shouldered the entire load all year. And Running back finished with 1,318 yards on the year,
the fifth highest single-season total in school history, and the most since Chris Brown had 1,744 in 2002.

That is a special year

set up a paypal link!

“2010 Ralphie Report MVP Rodney Stewart” would look good on a trophy…
(or is that considered something of value?)
