OK, I guess this is a simple post. But since it now seems a foregone conclusion that Dan Hawkins will not be coaching the Buffs next season, why do we keep him here. Word is that he has no intention of having any running game or balanced attack the rest of the season and seems bound and determined to try to get his son into the CU record books (now that Hansen is done for the season), at the cost of his team’s ability to stay in games and keep it competitive. Since he seems to have no regard for how the team finishes the season, why has the administration not pulled the trigger. Brian Cabral could easily fill in as interim HC or coach Mac could also take over. I have seen the reason he hasn't been fired yet related to recruits staying, but honestly, we only have 5 commitments as it stands now, I am sure that if Hawkins is fired, they may change their mind, but they may change their mind if he stays until the end of the season. I really don’t see any benefit to keeping Hawkins on any longer, it is very doubtful that this team can qualify for a bowl game, so what is the point I ask.
