Sounds like a ruptured spleen which means he is out for the year. He may be eligible for a medical redshirt, which would mean he would get an additional year and I certainly hope that is the case.
Cody must stay healthy cause pulling Hirschman's redshirt would not be ideal IMO. Talk about a tough position for Cody, this could get really awkward fast if it hasn't already given his post game comments.

That makes me sick. Don’t think he’ll get a medical redshirt either because he’s played in more than 4 games. Isn’t that the cut-off?

Hope he doesn’t have the Chris Simms issue, after he lost his spleen you could tell he was sacred to play and get hit.
