Buffs Blew Their Chance To Progress

Bringing back Dan Hawkins was a move many Buffalo fans including myself did not understand.  The team has not improved during his tenure and no progress has been made.

Recruits are not committing and Colorado simply lacks the team speed and play makers that are essential to compete in the college football today.

What used to be a running conference, has turned into a spread formation open up the offense style of play and Colorado has been left behind.

Colorado did make the right move in hiring coach Hawkins from Boise as he proved that he could take a lesser program in the middle of nowhere to new heights.  But backed by more money, a more historic program and a bigger conference, Hawkins has failed.

The time came where Colorado could have went in another direction like Florida's defensive coordinator Charlie Strong who signed with Louisville. Strong could have assisted in bringing players from the South possibly to Colorado and also with the defense where his team was continually ranked among the nation's elite.

Instead, Colorado is hoping for things to change in other season under Hawkins and that wont be the case.
