Last week's ballot

Dropped Out: Florida State (#18), Washington (#25).

Next five teams:  Nebraska, Missouri, South Florida, Wisconsin, Arizona

I finally moved Alabama to the top this week, they have been impressive week in and week out and deserve to hold the top spot for now. I was pretty shocked that there wasn't more noise about USC posting a pretty weak win over the slightly improved Washington State Cougars.  Missouri and Nebraska should both be in the top 25 but we are going to have to wait until next week to get them up there because I couldn't see who else to drop.  As always, leave your thoughts in the comments.

We need a bracket buster in college football

how great does a matchup between Boise State (WAC) and Cincy (Big East) sound? TCU (MWC) vs. Houston (USA)? Nuetral site . Cincy might have a beef with this since they are the only BCS school but this would be a great set of games.

I agree.

I loved the TCU – Boise bowl game last year.

Glad you left Missouri and Nebraska out until next week

Little shocked about Alabama being up there. Florida put up 31 points in one quarter against Kentucky…I know, not a great team but they aren’t Wyoming.

Glad you took down LSU…they are going to lose soon.

this week, according to my office pool pick

actually, going by my record in the pool, I think I just guaranteed an LSU victory

I can't believe I took...

LSU and NC State over Bama in our season pool. WTF was I thinking?

Wow, at least you guys got it right

The coaches poll is terrible.

they have cal #19 over oregon #25
Penn state #13 over Iowa #19

How dumb are these interns that the coaches let do their poll for them??

I think you could make a case for Cal and Oregon to be out of the top 25

not bad

they are trying to help raise some funds for cancer and they are going to feature Mark Herzlich, the ACC Defensive player of the year who now has cancer.

Also figuring into this decision is Miami’s PR department is a nightmare. They won’t open Landshark stadium more than 4 hours before gametime so they can’t set up at the stadium. Not sure if they would want to set up at the campus to have to move to landshark for the game.

But hopefully they will get some fundraising they are looking for and I was shocked until I heard in an ESPN chat that is the only reason they are at BC

Miami's PR department is amazingly inept

They seem to actively discourage fan support. If they weren’t in the recruiting spot that they are, Miami would be competing with Florida Central right now. A major college power with such terrible fan support hasn’t been seen since, um, us in the mid nineties. Aw crap… I just made myself sad.
