Just when I was breaking down scenarios of how the Buffs win this game, this nice 17 point gem comes through the wire. Oklahoma Sooners open up as 6.5 point favorites over the Miami Hurricanes who's bubble was burst this past weekend by Virginia Tech. Loser of this game probably drifts into the abyss and I don't see the Sooners drifting away. I like the Sooners. I don't think Miami is a team that is built on leadership and I don't see them responding well after the Tech blowout. Other early Big 12 lines: Texas Tech (-38) vs. New Mexico - the Lobos will get the pay back for the Houston game. Texas A&M (pick'em) vs. Arkansas - sort of interested in this game. A&M hasn't lost yet so this will be their first test of the year. In other news around the Big 12, Baylor QB Robert Griffin has torn his ACL and will be out for the year. Tough news for one of the big playmakers in the Big 12.
