Site Suggestion
This was posted by Hallux Valgus but didn't know but didn't know if it was a possibility or not.
For those who spend way too much time following the lives of recruiting and 18 yr old kids (myself included) I was wondering about a tab at the top or somewhere on the board just dedicated to recruiting. I know there are a lot of others on this board that live in colorado and could provide what they think of a kid, and his chances to come to Colorado. Other uses could be to link articles to premium articles that have good content and want others to read but don't want to get in trouble w/ premium content issues so we could just have the links. I know that is kinda what FanShots are for but I know i don't always scroll down to them every time I'm on the site.
For example I know that Hallux thinks Nduka Onyeali from Mullen is a stud and really wants him here and Rivals main editor scouted him last week and has a nice premium article that I think would interest others so I link it.
Don't know if its possible or others would use it, but decided to make this a FanPost instead of emailing the guys to get everyones input
BTW here is the Nduka article...............................Linky
And Highlands Ranch Brooke Jalniker gets a scholarship offer and is going to KU.........Linky

We have three options here. You guys let me know what you think is best.
1) We can instruct everyone to tag anything recruiting related (story, fan post, fan shot) with a CU specific recruiting tag. Anyone who searched or clicked on that tag would see everything related. (I could go back in and tag it if someone forgota as well).
2) We can have a fan post that is a recruiting open thread. If we recommend it it will stay up top.
3) We can have a story inside the “2009 CU Football Recruiting” section (Just a bit below the site logo now) that is a recruiting open thread. We could probably do it weekly and it could be a forum for anything recruiting related. Clicking on that section would also take you to any recruiting stories or interviews that Irish or I post.
Let me know your thoughts and I will do some more research into what others are doing.

.
1) Won’t work (hopefully). Any time somebody new joins the site, they’d have to be informed of the policy, which is too much effort.
2) That’s okay, but maybe I don’t understand the way “recommended” works. Isn’t there a kind of shelf life on those things?
3) This seems the best, especially if you can maybe bold it or something (I never even saw that thing before). My major concern, however, is I don’t want to infringe on anyone’s enjoyment of the site with constant updates on high school football that, let’s face it, most people don’t care about. I fully understand that most people have little interest in my prospect updates from random SoCal high school football games. Ideally, we could post whatever, but it wouldn’t upset the apple cart on the front page of the site. Is this the best option?

That's what I was thinking as well. We don't even have to post the weekly or monthly open threads on the front page
But will probably do so the first time.
