This has kind of been under the radar, but it appears to be a blatant NCAA rules violation that went unreported. If Cody Glenn did sell tickets, I don't blame really blame him as there are so many rules to follow it would be easy to make this mistake. But, if NU knew about it, and in fact suspended him for it, then they they covered it up, I hope they throw the book at them. NU has stated that there was no ticket incident but they will not say why he was suspended from the team.
The NCAA has already set bad precedents in my opinion by penalizing teams that report minor infractions (CU - Meal pricing) and ignoring violations that were not self-reported but widely recognized (USC, Reggie Bush - House).
Do I think Nebraska should lose scholarships because a player made a few bucks on the side? - No. But should they get slapped if they lied about it? - Hell Yes.
