Welcome to the Ralphie Report as the Colorado Buffaloes get ready to take on the Colorado Christian Cougars in Boulder, Colorado.  The Buffs are looking to extend their home winning streak to 5 in a row against a division II CCU team that has only won once this year out of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

From CUBuffs.com:

Colorado Christian comes into tonight's game with one win after five games. The Cougars defeated Western State on Sunday, Dec. 6, 77-69 at the Cougar Event Center in Lakewood. Jobi Wall recorded his first double-double of the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds, along with four assists. Justin Neuhaus added 10 rebounds, eight points and seven blocked shots as CCU led by nine points at halftime. The Cougars shot 45.6 percent from the field and made 11 treys.

OK, I appologize upfront...

But, who the heck is Colorado Christian? Are they the same as CC (Colorado College)? I’ve been out of the Front Range loop for a while, but?

I had to look it up too

They are located in Lakewood, Colorado. Part of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (Division II). Other teams in the conference are Metro State in Denver, Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Nebraska – Kearney, Chadron State, U of Colorado – Colorado Springs…

They are not the same as Colorado College in Colorado Springs.

Here is the CCU's W/L schedule so far

Lost to Montana State. The Buffs lost to Montana State last year in basketball as well.

This one shouldn’t be close, though.

Anything under 20 would be a major disappointment

hmm

seemed to follow the exact script of all our games this year against powder-puff teams. Get a 20 point lead at the half, play even in the 2nd, win because we shot WAY more free throws. This team still needs to show me something that indicates they truly are better than last year. We absolutely have to win the rest of our non-conference games and win them easily or I don’t like our chances in conference. Gotta stomp CSU next game!

That game @ Tulsa is going to be very tough.

They are a good squad this year.
