Former Buff Commit RB PT Gates Leads Grand Valley State to Division II Title Game
The one time Colorado Buffalo commit P.T. Gates has resurfaced at Grand Valley State and had an impressive day, leading the Lakers back to another division II title game.
Gates carried the ball 27 times for 182 yards and two scores. He also caught four passes for 69 yards. Not a bad day.
On the year as a backup running back, Gates has 137 carries for 975 yards, a 7.2 yard average and 10 touchdowns.
Remember "Gates originally committed to San Diego State. He didn't qualify academically, however, and ended up at Saddleback. He made repeated attempts to end up at Colorado, but his admittance reportedly was held up by the lack of a required associate's degree."
Dan Hawkins compared Gates to Reggie Bush once he committed to the Buffs.

I am curious where he ended up.

last news I heard about him was he missed a court date in September
and faced legal issues. I don’t think a football career is in his immediate future:
