Welcome to the Ralphie Report as the Colorado Buffaloes get ready to take on the Oregon State Beavers as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Challenge in Corvallis, Oregon.  The Buffaloes hope to continue the Big 12 dominance in the series as the conference holds an early 4-0 lead over the Pac-10, including a thrilling upset victory by Texas Tech over the #10 Washington Huskies. A solid road win here would be the Buffaloes third victory in a row and is a must have if the Buffs hope to continue to carry momentum into the conference schedule.

From CUBuffs.com

CU in the Big 12/Pac-10 Harwood Series: CU is 0-2 in the series with both losses coming against Stanford (76-62 in 2008; 67-43 in 2007). Oregon State is also 0-2 losing to Iowa State (71-64 in 2007; 63-50 in 2008). Over the three years, the Pac-10 holds a slim 13-12 edge.

OSU UPDATE: The Beavers bring a 2-3 mark into Friday's game with wins over South Dakota (62-47) and on the road against George Washington, 64-57. OSU returns nine  letterwinners and four starters from its CBI title team that went 18-18 in Craig Robinson's first year at the helm. OSU went 12-7 at home last year.

Momentum

I’m hoping the guys pull out a big road win against a PAC-10 team. A win tonight would build on the confidence they gained in Hawaii. Bzdelik has these guys believing in themselves.

damn FSN!

they’re not showing the CU game because of the DU-CC hockey game. looks like i’ll maybe be able to catch the 2nd half… : /

Sloppy play

We need to clean it up b/c we’re giving the ball away.

by CleBUFFS on Dec 4, 2009 9:14 PM MST via mobile reply actions

thanks

there’s 13 minutes left in this damn hockey game, was it delayed or something?

by nebraskasux on Dec 4, 2009 9:24 PM MST up reply actions

Sorry

Were picking up a lot of fouls under the basket.

by CleBUFFS on Dec 4, 2009 9:25 PM MST via mobile reply actions

2-1 DU

It’ll probably go OT and I’ll miss the entire game

these officials are killing us

And the announcers are obviously Pac- ten people.
Higgins needs to get it going

by CleBUFFS on Dec 4, 2009 9:30 PM MST via mobile reply actions

I can't tell you from actually watching them

but based on who they’ve lost to I would say not that good. They were picked middle pack in the pac-10 though

by nebraskasux on Dec 4, 2009 9:41 PM MST up reply actions

This is a must win game

We need to start getting some confidence by beating good/decent teams on the road. Looks like OSU fans support their basketball team about the same as CU.
Our sloppy play is killing me, we should be up by 10

by CleBUFFS on Dec 4, 2009 9:45 PM MST via mobile reply actions

That freshman

Burks looks awesome!
Ala Hawkins we’re young and we need to cinch some things up! Thankfully, Bz doesn’t believe that and this team looks much better than the past few years. Now, get the win.

by CleBUFFS on Dec 4, 2009 9:55 PM MST via mobile reply actions

agreed, burks is a nice player

this is a MUST WIN game if we’re gonna compete at all in the big 12

by nebraskasux on Dec 4, 2009 10:00 PM MST up reply actions

i like that the coaches are wearing suits

last year they looked kind of tacky with the gold polos all year

by nebraskasux on Dec 4, 2009 10:16 PM MST reply actions

First time watching this year...

Is this the quality of play we’ve had all year, or is this an off night?

by BuffnBigD on Dec 4, 2009 10:20 PM MST reply actions

just based on the 2nd half

about how we’ve looked all year. we shoot and pass pretty good but are really weak inside

by nebraskasux on Dec 4, 2009 10:22 PM MST up reply actions

Can't seem to get anything inside

and when we actaully do, shots end up as off balanced bricks….

No stregnth down low

by BuffnBigD on Dec 4, 2009 10:25 PM MST up reply actions

I know bzdelik likes to recruit skilled big guys

but we could really use a big bruiser just to rebound and post up. I guess dufault is our best “inside” player but he’s a jumpshooter and doesn’t really crash the boards

by nebraskasux on Dec 4, 2009 10:29 PM MST up reply actions

Time for Higgins

To step up! If he wants to get drafted into the NBA this is the time to show something

by CleBUFFS on Dec 4, 2009 10:21 PM MST via mobile reply actions

shooting like crap

and giving them a lot of points down low and second chance tip ins….

by BuffnBigD on Dec 4, 2009 10:39 PM MST reply actions

No killer instinct

This team cannot finish just like the football team. We have no inside game whatsoever and that will kill us when big XII play begins. Hope we pull it out…

by CleBUFFS on Dec 4, 2009 10:49 PM MST via mobile reply actions

a very tough loss

Damn

This team has no ability to finish games. Bz, you better coach them up before the Big 12 season starts. Very disappointed, ughhh.
