Anyone going to Austin this weekend?
A buddy and I, both Boulder natives living in NYC, are going to be in Austin this weekend for the game Colt McCoy Mexican food, and would be interested in meeting up for beers at some point on Saturday with any Buffs fans. I know the alumni association is running a tailgate but it looks absurdly poor value to me: $50 bucks for a cash bar and BBQ (Hey, but Chip will be there!). So I was thinking we could do something different before the game, or meet up afterwards. There are a ton of options around campus or downtown that are semi-walkable to the stadium.

would love to go but college is holding down the budgets so I have to work weekends.
At least the whole nation won’t see our demolishment as LSU/FLA is on the same time on CBS.
Enjoy the game Mexican food
I had two free tickets for me and my wife
But I passed since the tickets were from a good friend who happens to be a Longhorn with season tickets and I couldn’t guarentee that I would be a good sport when we get annihilated. Besides, whats point in driving 3 hours to just to be in the middle of a hostile fan base when we are playing like crap.
If we had a chance, maybe I would reconsider.
why would you possibly subject yourself to something like this?
just kidding, hope you have a good time, I’ll be watching on TV though ;-)
if you want good mexican food
come to san diego…that way you get better mexican food and dont have to watch the game!! jk…but really
Good idea!!!
I’m dying for In and Out, Rubios, Islands, any of the many chains such as Albertacos, in and then on the higher end; Jakes, and Pacifica in Del Mar.
Spent many years in SD…
i work right across the street from pacifica
one of the best post work happy hour spots i can think of
Yeah, we used to got there for happy hour pretty often
My wife worked at a company called Peregrine Systems there in Carmel Valley/Del Mar back in the early-mid 2000’s and that was a favorite for everybody to meet.
We love Texas, but also miss SD a lot!
