Worst game I've ever seen in my life.

I stopped watching a CU game early for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE today. I watched 70-3 till the final gun. Not today. What a disgraceful, disgusting performance. NU lost, KU and MU are probably going to lose. We could of stepped right into the drivers seat in the Big 12 North race yet we come out and play worse than I have ever seen any team play in my life. I don't want to bash on KSU, they played without a huge number of mistakes and definitely deserved to win, but they STINK! Are you telling me they have more talent than we do? Our defense did enough for us to get the victory but the special teams, penalties, and coaching SUCKED! I could go on for about a 1000 words about the coaching but it's all been said here before. It's all par for the course for this staff. We can't beat ANYBODY on the road! ANYBODY! What the HELL was with putting Cody in the game? What is that psychopath Hawkins thinking? Cody comes in and throws 23 passes in about 5 minutes and you guys tell me, how many accurate passes did he actually throw? 3? How many times did he throw into double coverage? 15? What a scumbag liar Dan is. I hope he sleeps well with his decisions tonight.

Ya know, we'll probably come out and get one more "big win" this year behind a fired-up crowd against NU or MU and it'll save his job, but that's BULLSHIT! He has proven what a fraud he is already, I don't care if we win every game the rest of the year, we need to clean house. I already let Bohn know how I feel about this game (2nd time this year, this time much angrier) and I hope you all do the same (Mike.Bohn@Colorado.EDU). Just like this was the worst game I have ever watched in my life, this is probably the most rambling and worst post I have ever written here, I'm just so mad, I needed to say something. I hope you all are too. We can't just be apathetic at this point.

Unbelievable

This game was an absolute disgrace. I’ve never seen a team with such poor field position the entire game. DiLallo was horrible. Espinoza should turn in his jersey and clean out his locker, and Hawk’s treatment of Hansen is a sham. Cody had a huge leash and then Hansen struggles a little bit and then gets pulled? He should transfer. I wouldn’t blame him. This team looked flat and had no energy, and I can’t believe this is the same team that beat Kansas.

Complete fail

This team lacks leadership, inspiration, determination, creativity, and resilience. I’ll be shocked if CU ends with a record better than 4-8. We’re definitely not going bowling this year.

How about sending an

email to President Bruce D. Benson
OfficeOfThePresident@cu.edu

Tell him to fire Michael R Bohn too.

Wonder if Charlie Ergen, Philip Anschutz, John Malone, James Leprino, Pat Stryker, or Thomas Marsico could help CU out on the buyout. It would be like a bar tab to these Colorado Billionaires.

Ergen

He’s a Tennessee guy…he won’t care about CU, and he’s more into college hoops.

Dick Fuld

ex Lehman Brothers CEO

A CU grad. Maybe not the top CU booster but is probably looking for some good press.

by NYCskibum on Oct 24, 2009 5:45 PM MDT up reply actions

CNN

named Fuld as one of the “Ten Most Wanted: Culprits of the Collapse” of the 2008 financial collapse in the United States; he was placed at number 9 on the list.

by TraderJesse on Oct 25, 2009 12:04 PM MDT up reply actions

Not sure he could get enough good press

In December 2008, Fuld was given the “Lex Overpaid CEO” and “thief” award of the Financial Times for having received $34m in 2007 and $40.5m in 2006, the last two years before his bank’s failure.

CNBC named Fuld at the top of its list of “Worst American CEOs of All Time”, stating he is “belligerent and unrepentant”.

haha

those quotes remind me of someone else I know. “Overpaid”, “Thief”, “Belligerent”, “Unrepentant”. Know who I’m talking about?

Let me guess

 Karnack says, “Initials DH”?

by TraderJesse on Oct 25, 2009 3:45 PM MDT up reply actions

Just for the record Nebsux

I think Hawkins is a good person and has done some good things, aka cleaned up after Barnett and kicking repeat offenders of the team etc. but he has not gotten it done on the field. He is totally lost or maybe just too close to the situation and is unable to step back and see the problems that almost every fan does. It’s too easy for fans to get carried away when showing frustration with the state of the football program when posting on forums such as TRR. I just want to make sure that I am not giving anyone the impression that I am comparing Hawkins to Fuld in anyway, shape, manner or form.

ugh...

Thanks for sharing this. I didn’t have the misfortune of watching the game, it wasn’t televised in LA thank God.

When are things going to change? When is this madness going to end? The fact that people rushed the field last week mortifies me as it shows how bad things have gotten. Rushing the field for a win against Kansas? I mean I appreciate the enthusiasm about winning but come on.

Did Hawkins really put his son again? Seriously?
I can only imagine the positive bs spin Hawk will have about this game…. How can he feel okay about accepting a paycheck?
I agree about the apathy… fans, alumni, students etc need to share their disgust , disappointment, embarassment w/ this program and let BOHN and the President know this is completely and totally unacceptable and stop spinning this crap as positive but until the Hawkins duo and Bohn are gone nothing will change.
In short I need everyone to stop drinking the Colorado (football) Kool Aid!

oh yeah, believe it, it happened

I’m not saying Hansen played great, but he was doing OK, yet he gets yanked for no reason towards the end of both halves. Of course Cody comes in and throws 2 INTs (plus his normal assortment of dead ducks and forced throws to a covered Scotty McKnight). Pathetic…

by nebraskasux on Oct 24, 2009 5:32 PM MDT up reply actions

The joke is

Cody gets what 5 games? and hansen gets 2 quarters??? Being down as a result of golden nboy espinoza with his magic hands?

by NYCskibum on Oct 24, 2009 5:48 PM MDT up reply actions

delusional...

dude I don’t care you leave Hansen in the whole game. How many times did he let Cody stay in after monumental errors. And really at this point I am going to be way more forgiving to Hansen. I can’t imagine what it must be like to play behind the coach’s son.
Coach Hawkins is completely delusional and needs to be put in a psych ward.

by BUFFS81 on Oct 24, 2009 9:26 PM MDT reply actions

Rec'd of course

What annoys me is that Hawkins is coaching like he wants to get fired and knows he can’t, he basically threw up a big middle finger to all the die-hard CU fans.
