Givens?

What is up there? This must be disruptive to the line (on-off-on-off-on,??). Last thing we need is disruption….

I don’t know what the problem is, but I’d be getting a little upset if I were the other lineman. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, but we need to know if he is going to be there week to week.

Help!

Stuck at work, does anyone know a website that will have a feed of the game?? I tried channelsurfing.net but we didn’t make the cut there

He wasn’t a stud before the Texas game, but his delivery looks a lot faster now and I think it’s come at the cost of his ability to kick it longer than 40 yards.

but not nearly enough. Can we hold a bake sale or something and buy this guy out already??

by NoVABuff on Oct 24, 2009 12:14 PM MDT via mobile reply actions

If hawk has any self-respect....

he should should resign and not take the buyout. He made a 10-win guarantee and this is a trainwreck. He has more than enough money for the rest of his life, he shouldn’t take the program that gave him his biggest opportunity down with him. I know I live in a fairy tale world, but I would have a lot more respect for Hawk if he would man up and accept responsibility and do the right thing for CU. I’m almost glad I can’t watch this mess on tv, esp. if Cody is going to start the 2nd half.

so I missed most of the 2nd half

to find that our defense has held and given us a chance to win, but he mini-hawk-led offense was shut out. absolutely unreal. I think I have to boycott this team until hawk is gone.

Deehan was wide open

That’s who I thought he was throwing to….

by HBbuff on Oct 24, 2009 1:36 PM MDT reply actions

Triple coverage on Geer.

Deehan was wide open in the flat. That is why you keep Cody benched.

by bribuffguy on Oct 24, 2009 1:37 PM MDT up reply actions

that is pure Cody

Throw to the guy w/ three defenders on him. I’m done w/ the Hawkins family

by CleBUFFS on Oct 24, 2009 1:37 PM MDT via mobile reply actions

Whatever confidence Hansen had is gone

We are stuck with Mini Hawk till the end of this season.

Guess I’ll watch intramurals.

This has to end Monday

I know it won’t, but god please….

K State is a good example...

of how you can play winning football without a ton of talent. Disciplined, no mistake football. That’s what I dream of for the Buffs.

by HBbuff on Oct 24, 2009 1:40 PM MDT reply actions

Is today's game enough to get Hawk fired?

Or do we need this to happen again next week? When does this end?

by BuffFiend87 on Oct 24, 2009 1:40 PM MDT reply actions

coming into this game way late

not on TV out here in SD….why did Cody play ? Was Hansen injured?

Dear Rockies - 2009 NL Wild Card Champs. Best turnaround in MLB history for a team to win the Wild Card. Thank you for a wonderful rollercoaster of a season. Can't wait to do it again next year!!

Troy Tulowitzki - THE best SS in the game..nuff said
Yorvit Torrealba - En Fuego!! (when hitting 6th or 7th)
Brad Hawpe- Big Bad Brad, I hope I get to see you in a Rockies uniform again!
Dexter Fowler - prowling CF, WC in his talons, leaping Utley's in a single bound!

I think we are stuck with him

and Cody has one more year of eligibility

by coffmonster on Oct 24, 2009 1:41 PM MDT reply actions

We are just so poorly coached....

Penalties, turnovers, poor special teams play, dropped passes, delay of game penalties on the first play of the second half!!!

So frustrating……..I don’t care if you have zero talent on your team……it’s poor coaching and preparation that result in all of the mistakes

by HBbuff on Oct 24, 2009 1:45 PM MDT reply actions

yep, ISU intercepted with 1:31 left....

Wow

First we blow this game and the Cornsucker get beat by ISU. Man, I’m feeling sick!! Do we beat ISU?

I don't

as much as I hate NU even that doesn’t cheer me up after today. What a fucking disgrace.

Nebraska

Just watched the end of that game and the interview w/ Iowa St coach Rhodes. That is a coach who gets it. He shows some emotion and actually gets his team ready to play hard. Very impressed by him

by CleBUFFS on Oct 24, 2009 1:55 PM MDT via mobile reply actions

You know we can complain about Hawkins switching QBs....

but as he has shown over the last year and a half. He has a quick trigger when it comes to pulling a QB. Wait……

by BuffinCuse on Oct 24, 2009 1:57 PM MDT reply actions

I agree! Rhodes showed so much heart! That's why we need a guy

that understands CU and is vested in its traditions…oh wait we had that with Barnett. But there are many CU alums out there as a ssistants. Let’s bring one in as a Head Couch (Cabral, Beinemy, Embree, etc.)

by BuffFiend87 on Oct 24, 2009 1:57 PM MDT reply actions

Perhaps the wrong coach was brought in from Boise St.....

no he wouldn't.

If he transfers, he’s out of eligibility. It would just be quitting.

You know I was sarcastic but

with the way we apparently treat QBs who have given up redshits (no names needed), cody may actually be the only player we could get to CU. Have you seen our recruiting lists… I bet it gets even worse when some of these kids see how we screw with the players we have.

by BuffinCuse on Oct 24, 2009 2:04 PM MDT reply actions

man, I just realized how we conned hansen to burn his redshirt

and then pulled this shit on him. I feel terrible for the kid. really hope he transfers

Does Cody playing today necessarily mean Hansen doesn't play next week?

No I bet we rotate them through the rest of the season.

Hansen starting Cody coming in as soon as it starts getting tense. I am not sure how Hansen will ever get the experience if we pull him that quick. Leave him in lets see what he can do

by BuffinCuse on Oct 24, 2009 2:11 PM MDT reply actions

Young players getting alot of time, so

I have to stop saying Cody this cody that. Considering he did lead on of our only drives of the day. I know I wasn’t all that happy with our O-line and there were a couple of times I can’t believe Hansen didn’t fumble. Hopefully we have seen the end of Espinoza on Punts posession receiver is enough for him. There were just so many things today that were depressing. Atleast our D settled down and kept us in it. Thats saying alot after watching our offense and unspecial teams.

by BuffinCuse on Oct 24, 2009 2:18 PM MDT reply actions

All I can say is, that was as poor a performance as we have given all year...

Rivals the Toledo game…….no that’s not fair………the defense played quite well today, actually. It’s just so many errors, mistakes, undisciplined play by the offense and the special teams. And the Cody deal……I really don’t understand…..Hansen was not performing well, I will say that. But he’s our guy…..it wasn’t all on him. He did miss some passes and had that one horrific fumble…..but he got no help from the O line, running backs, or receivers…..dropped passes all day long and no separation. We’ve got to stick with him……this season is pretty much over. Stick with Tyler…..
