The Buffs will host the Jayhawks this Saturday on FSN at 5:00pm. It will be the first game of the Tyler Hansen era after Cody Hawkins was pulled in the fourth quarter of the Texas game.

I'm really looking forward to this one

and I think we have a decent chance. If the defense continues to play well and Tyler can get the offense going I think we’ll be discussing a win next Sunday.

Of course we could also get our butts kicked, who knows… but my level of optimisim has gone up significantly.

I think this one will be interesting...

flying from So Cal to Boulder to see the game. We’ll see what Tyler can do….I think we can move the ball against Kansas if we’re patient and get the run game established. I’m a little worried about a let down by our defense…I’ve seen Reesing pick us apart the last couple of years…..

I'm taking the points....

Was in Austin for the game last weekend. Our defenses performance was not a fluke. They played lights out and it wasn’t smoke and mirrors. I think they have finally just clicked as a unit.

Offense is a totally different story, but it can’t get any worse than it has been to date.

I like our chances.

Psyched?

I’m not sure if this is the word that describes my mood. what the word for “as excited as one can be after being thoroughly dissappointed for a month and a half”?

Honesly, if Hansen getting the start does nothing else, it gives a modicum of respect back to CU football. How I wish he would have been in there since CSU. Honestly.

CU 21 KU 20.

This game will define our year

All things considered< i think this is the make or break turning point of our season. Any reasonable chance at winning the North must start with beating Kansas, and after our defensive showing in Austin, its possibe (don’t forget that KU’s defense is nothing approaching Texas’s).

Lose, and any confidence we came out of Texas is gone and we are 0-2 in the big 12 and are done for the year.

Win- and we build a ton of confidence and have a real shot at running the table (or only one loss at OKST) in the North.

Cody showed that he was not progressing and had exhausted his chances. He is a true Buff, but a change was necessary. I hope the rumors are true that Hansen has grown as a QB since last year adn can run the offense with some efficiency.

Simplify the defense?... sounds familiar, huh?

I’m sure we will make their defense look respectable.

Few can...

but I hope you’re right. I’d like to have a glimmer of hope that we won’t waste this incredible offense.
