Like I posted in the first half thread, love the opportunity, love the chance. Now is Dan Hawkins time to step up and be the motivator. Texas got some momentum back before half there but if Dan Hawkins wants to be our coach for the future, this halftime speech and his staffs adjustments will dictate that. Mack Brown will make his adjustments, can Dan Hawkins match it? Can Dan Hawkins make his team believe at halftime that they can win this game like the Texas coaches will? we're mediocre for sure...
but I also think the ISU size and experience up front on offense got the better of Kansas. CU has the size for sure to give us trouble in the running game.

ya isu has consistantly been running the ball well this year
just the passing game has been a bit off in the previous games (espec. iowa). i think they showed huge improvement in that aspect of the game. the timing on the short passes seemed alot better this week. the defense, well thats another story…

I was impressed with what I saw...
the whole Directv Versus dispute left me in the dark for a half but the Cyclones showed up to play that’s for sure. Honestly we were fortunate to escape…a couple inches shorter on that last throw and we probably lose that one.

next weeks game concerns me…if you guys can run the ball we’re in trouble, that and your tight ends should have a field day matching up against our LB’s…
The Kansas offense is just as good as it’s been, but our defense just shit the bed today. We’ll be in a dog fight with anyone who comes out and runs effectively.

the QB change was bullshit...
it is exactly how this staff operates on whim…now that I think about it. Hansen wasn’t ready to go. The time to pull Hawkins was at half time when the Buffs have the lead, not when they are down a bunch and has no chance to win…this is a coward move that is not right to Hansen or the team

how do you know he’s not a Div-1 quarterback? Has he had a chance to prove himself? No, he hasn’t, and I think he showed some good things in his playing time last year.

in all seriousness I think CU will give Kansas a challenge. I’m afraid our defense just isn’t up to snuff at this point and it is eventually going to bite us in the ass. I’m hopeful it’s not next week but I’m not as confident as I was earlier this year.
