Nebraska Sucks Still. In a story that is not that surprising, the Mountain West Conference will be pushing hard for an automatic bid in the BCS. After Utah's season and success of BYU and TCU, I think this will have to happen to keep guys like the Utah Attorny general from suing the NCAA and BCS. Now the question is does this help or hurt CU. My opinion is this will definately help CU, the Big 12, and the PAC-10 because now our strength of schedule becomes better when we play teams like CSU, Air Force, and Utah (all on the schedule soon). Likewise it will help the Big 12 and Pac-10 since they will be playing a lot of games against MWC teams in non-conference games. The drawbacks will obviously be in recruiting, especially in the states of Colorado and Utah where now other schools like Utah, BYU, CSU and Air Force can use the fact that the recruits will have a better than average chance of playing in a BCS bowl game. Wondered what the feelings of others were regarding this issue. Here is a liink to the story.
I am more for a playoff, but I think that the BCS will probably bend over and take the MWC since they don't want to disband the BCS and go to a playoff (thank Norte Dame for that).
