I am going to start this out by saying I hope I am embarrassed within minutes of posting this because I missed something obvious and it is pointed out to me. With that being said I am a little unsettled because I think the Buffs only have 19 scholarships available for the 09' class. By my count we currently have 66 players under scholarship, and per NCAA rules you are allowed to have a maximum of 85 under scholarship. This number is based off the posts from irish breaking down the returning players which can be found here:

If all these guys are under scholarship stay how does Hawk bring in more than 19 this recruiting class? I realize between now and next fall a couple people will probably transfer or quit the program and a couple we bring in this year may not qualify or something will happen along the way that causes them to not be a buff next year. Maybe this allows the class to grow a little bit, but it may be a stretch to bring in 22 like Hawk is talking about. The thing that worries me even more is that we should have a much improved record the next couple years and we will only have around 15 scholarships available each year when we will be in a position to make significant inroads in recruiting.
