Per Rivals, OL Evan Finkenberg commits to Arizona State
Finkenberg, the Tesoro High School product, was in Boulder yesterday on his official visit. But today, Finkenberg pulled the trigger in favor of the Sun Devils. Finkenberg came from a strong program in California and would have been a good get for the Buffs. Rivals had him ranked as a three star prospect and the 48th offensive tackle in the nation. The good news is that CU has already signed three offensive linemen and 6'8" OT Chris Freeman is still out there to be had. Good luck to Evan at Arizona State.

Was Hawk at the recruit weekend or was he out on the road?
That may have made the difference.
I believe he was out Friday
back for the weekend. He was with Emory Blake on Friday

I am kind of more excited with the Freeman kid
Granted Frinkenburg comes from a good team, but Freeman seems like a good raw kid that may eventually be a monster in three years, plus like the fact that we are out recruiting in Ohio.

Finkenberg played OT for 1 season
before that he was a tight end. How does that not qualify as “raw?” And recruiting in Orange County is no slouch either.

both would be good pick ups
but something about 6’8" 350 and plays basketball that gets you a little more amped up

yeah, I can see that
But it’s not based on anything factual. I like Finkenberg because I saw him play half a dozen times this year. I like Freeman because of what you said. I’ve never seen him play. And disparaging one kid you’ve never seen seems pretty questionable, and it’s obvious that the above has never seen Finkenberg play.
They both have potential. I’m just way more interested in opinions from people who have actually seen the recruits play. Otherwise, just watch Rivals and don’t have an opinion. I’ve got the OC on lock, I catch a lot of LA ball, and as much CO as I can (due to Super Cable). If anyone has actual first person info on these guys, then I’m all for it.

I don't think anyone is disparaging the kid
that boat sailed, onto the next guy which is Freeman.

have you seen Clark play alot...do you have anything to add
about him that hasn’t already been said before? I am sure you have seen him play a couple of times. If so and if it is anything new and good, fanpost it up on the right side. We would all love to hear a Californian’s perspective

I am talking about Freeman
Freeman played basketball up until this year, and he is raw, but I think more physically gifted than Frinkenberg

frankly
if I wanted uninformed opinions based on website speculation, I’d go to Buffzone. Please, let’s all take a deep breath and focus on what we know, and what we can glean from this community.
