Should be a beautiful day for a game today
Can’t wait to see the new grass at Folsom Field. It is supposed to look really nice right now. Also, Ralphie V will run for the first time today since the crazy run at the spring game. Hopefully that is the hardest work the Buffs will to do today. Go Buffs!

I'm gone already drinking and trying to shake the hangover. Take special note of the west va game
I will try some pics on the iPhone. Make sure everyone has the radio on 850 today and let’s get the game discussion going! You forgot in your big 10 rant that Osu is losing to Ohio and Michigan is not showing well at all

think Ohio state is looking ahead at all?

You don’t even have to email them, you can just post them to the site as fan shots and we will promote the good ones to the front page. If you need help with how to do it I will be happy to show you.

I am
a little flukey thus far, save for shoddy kick coverages. The meat and potatoes of Oklahoma still looks quite good.
Where did Darrell Scott go?
I can’t watch or listen to the game, but Stewart’s production is decidedly average for the level of competition we’re facing, and I’m sure Scott’s power could have made a bigger difference on 4-3 than that missed field goal.
Regardless of the final score, this game goes down as an embarrassment.
ESPN Gamecast appears to have
headed to the locker rooms a little early, but we are at halftime now right?
It looks like Colorado's halftime adjustments
were to commit more needless penalties…
Josh Smith isn't kidding around this year, is he?
He’s here to make things seriously happen. Smith returning kicks and Scott punching in touchdowns sounds like a fantastic combination to me.
Haha, I'm actually using the Yahoo gamecast right now
because ESPN has such a horrible track record. It’s a flashy way to watch a game, but efficient and lacking bugs it is not. CBS had a decent one last year, too, but so far this Yahoo one I’m using is really simple.
I'm going to fox sports' player now
maybe it will bring better luck on the field as well.
I think it's behind
it’s at 1:10 in the third
A very intriguing 4th Quarter looms, eh?
Team is moving down the field, the defense is stepping it up, but the scoreboard is still not on our side. Should be…a learning experience, to say the least.
A close win can be swept under the rug
a loss? Well, lets not discuss that yet…
Exactly.
Even if it’s ugly, the “W” always looks the same in the standings. Ask Ohio State. Now an “L”…
We need to shut them down right here.
No first downs…
I have to keep refreshing the Gamecast
RalphieReport.com - University of Colorado Athletics
Fox' has got up to speed better
but it tends to update in bunches, and it doesn’t list out the plays in the “tracker” part. It beats waiting on ESPN, but it ain’t perfect. I can’t get Yahoo to work without a plug-in I can’t find to enable…
Just stop playing FCS teams and they’ll put these games on T.V.
Did we just get a penalty to keep their drive alive?
RalphieReport.com - University of Colorado Athletics
Whatever it was froze my Yahoo gamecast
so I’m sure it was confusing and frustrating, but it looks like we’re keeping the ball.
It looks like we have the ball back somehow. This is awful. Why hasn’t someone figured out how to do this accurately and timely?
RalphieReport.com - University of Colorado Athletics
Seriously.
We’re basically sitting here discussing the pros and cons of various Gamecasts instead of THE GAME ITSELF because nobody has come up with an effective system yet. On that note, I’m developing quite a liking for this Hawkins-McKnight connection. They really just seem to get each other.
NFL.com has a good one
but I don’t know why schools don’t just take the initiative and produce their own. You’d think that making games accessible to their fanbase would be important…
…oh, but for $239 you can see a replay of the BuffVision later this week, and following weeks, what a bargain!
If we don't put up some more points in a HURRY...
then I may not be too upset I couldn’t watch this game. Overall, though, I agree. It’s ridiculous, but there’s not a lot we can do.
Defense is doing fine on 1st and 2nd down
but getting off the field is costing us in a big way. This wasn’t the time for a sudden meltdown.
I'll hand it to kicker from EWU
That was a clutch kick. Now let’s hope he kicks it right to Josh Smith, who returns it all the way.
They'll need him to, as judging by
the play-by-play, Colorado has few big plays in them today, and Hawkins seems unable to make the 3rd down conversion when needed… against an FCS team.
Hawkins went for it on fourth down instead of kicking a fg one of the worst head coach decision I have seen
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
To be fair
I wouldn’t exactly trust Goodman to make it, and Hawk has always shown little fear of going for it. Agree or disagree, it certainly shouldn’t be in the least bit surprising. Now let’s just cross our fingers and hope we can come out of this sucker with a win.
and then ewu pudgy kicker nails a 52 yder
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
Big play to Williams
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
A lot of time
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
I wouldn't at all give up that touchdown...
but there is still LOTS of time left, and their kicker just proved he has some ability.
that choice to not go for the fg was idiotic
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
It's looking huge right now, isn't it?
But we still have some defense to play and this game isn’t over yet, so let’s dwell on that in the aftermath =p
td cu!
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
still time but huge pick 6 by big 29
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
That's disgusting.
Here in Texas, UT fans had to pay 30 bucks to watch last weekend’s 52-10 nail-biter against some little sister of the poor.
I heard that last weeks OU game was $59 ppv
here in Tulsa
Yeah, and furthermore
The game between Tennessee-Martin and whoever they played was 109.99. I’m not kidding. I hope it was a 10 OT thriller for that money.
they r on the 40 driving
Shoulder to Shoulder...The Ralphie Report - All CU, All the Time http://www.ralphiereport.com/
Can someone set the scene please?
:14 seconds left, still outside the 20? I’m trying both Fox and ESPN and can’t get answers
Oh, I didn't even think of that
A polite golf clap and ahurried, silent rush to the exits would be most appropriate
Rushing the field has become a bit of an issue with me.
When it happens after every single close game, it really takes the meaning and flavor out of it happening after an IMPORTANT game.
How about East Carolina, eh?
Might this be a blueprint on how to beat the Mountaineers? And how quickly can we burn the film from our own game against EWU today?
I thought we matched up a little better with WVU
and was hoping they’d be unblemished coming into Boulder. A WVU loss would take oomph out of a nationally televised win. Moreso, a loss to an undefeated top 10 WVU looks passable.
I think WVU was overrated quite a bit
but they really felt like Rutgers from a year ago to me. Good team, but not top-notch like people expected them to be.
Big East as a whole is overrated
Rather than giving the conference an automatice berth, they should have the Big East regular season winner play the top BCS rated team from one of Conference USA, Mountain West, WAC, or MAC. Call it a Mid Major championship of sorts.
That's a hell of an idea.
There are all kinds of problems with the BCS, but because of the money it generates, I don’t think we’ll be seeing any major revisions to it anytime soon.
I thought they were definitely legit
last week against Va. Tech, the Hokies offensive woes withstanding.
Losing Chris Johnson was supposed to make them less threatening
yet the D looks like major D1 caliber.
You going to be keeping an eye on the games tonight?
I’m really excited for some Florida-Miami football, which will be chased with a lot of Longhorns (everyone in this house except me is a Longhorns fanatic).
Florida-Miami
with a small side of the local Tulsa-North Texas game. I think Miami will show well for themselves, but come up short. Miami’s D is incredibly fast, big, and talented in the font seven, and I get the sense that the days of undisciplined Miami football is coming to an end.
Personally,
I’d love to see Miami get back to being the program they were in terms of winning. The more good teams there are, the better games are on every weekend. As a fan of the sport in general, I can’t lose there. The more rivalries, hard-hitting, high-intensity games I can get my hands on, the better. Randy Shannon looks like he’s doing a good job whipping those guys into shape. I saw on ESPN today that he doesn’t even talk to his son about football when they aren’t on the field, and rarely talks to him at all when they are on the field. Said “he needs to make it on his own.” Great stuff.
Oklahoma not helping its reputation
of running the score up. Starting O and D still in late in the fourth, offense still passing, D still blitzing.
I don’t have a problem with it persay, but I do believe their deceptive scores give people a false perception of their abilities. Look at last season.
Yeah
wasn’t their welcoming of Todd Dodge to college football like 72-0 last year? Is it really necessary to continue to run up the score?
You guys need to go look at the box score.
They have run the ball exclusively (minus 2 pass plays) with their third string running back for their two drives in the 4th quarter. What else is the guy supposed to do? Take a knee?
RalphieReport.com - University of Colorado Athletics
Touche.
Looking at the drive summaries, they were running quite a bit. I can’t comment on any defensive blitzing or personnel packages, but they were running their backup running backs quite a bit (except for the passing touchdown on 4th and goal from the 2, which was preceeded a few plays earlier by passes on 1st and 20 and 2nd and 8). Point taken.
Watching the game
Sam Bradford TD pass was when I posted that, already up three scores in the fourth, being blocked for by Williams, Robinson, and Loadholt. Following drive still featured the first team secondary and most the first team front seven.
Bradford only was pulled in the final series for some handoffs to Madu.
No, they don’t have to take knees, but do they need to run a play-action pass on fourth and goal? A run would have been a little more respectful.
I feel for Ole Miss
They had Wake Forest almost beaten, just to watch an ACC team finally find the composure to win a football game. What is there to take from that? Is Houston Nutt changing the culture there in Starkville or was it the result of another ACC team collapsing under the weight of expectations?
More A than B
although to be fair, Orgeron left Nutt a pretty stocked cupboard for a rebuilding process. Jerry is the top rated senior DT by PFW scouts, Oher is ranked second at LT (though considered a top ten talent), and Hardy is an elite young edge rusher. Throw in now eligible transfer Snead, and you’ve got some players.
Also
I realize I may talk a LOT about random non-Buffs stuff, but I don’t really have another place where I can talk college football with people who aren’t completely blinded by their love for the UT Longhorns, so forgive my long ramblings about non-Buffs things.
Also, David, I didn’t realize you were also a Buffs fan/follower. Good to see you around again.
No, its quite alright.
CFB is CFB. Speaking of feeling for teams, how stupid does Washington feel right now for getting that celebration penalty? Im going to be in Seattle for the OU-UW game and I imagine the Husky fans are going to be mighty deflated.
RalphieReport.com - University of Colorado Athletics
Just saw the replay
should that be excessive celebration? I have more problems with guys getting mouthy or overly demonstrative, but I’ve seen that move several times and just don’t know if that should constitute a penalty, at that point in the game. Do that in the first quarter on a routine run, sure, flag. But do that having just brought your team back in the game with virtually no time left…penalty?
Blocked EP looked like a complete failure to keep the inside push back, though.
cu didn't rush the field

Good to hear
I’m looking forward to your game analysis, as I was left mostly in the dark on this one. Particularly, I’m wondering why the running game struggled so much to get in gear.
