Congrats from a Jayhawk Fan...
Congrats on a great game last night for the Colorado Buffaloes. Although I'm sure the game may have been too close for comfort it may have been the best thing for this young Dan Hawkins led team, better than a blowout win even and here is why.
As a casual follower of the Buffaloes and fan of the Big 12 this was a game I would have watched regardless. However, I recall a Wednesday night game where I too watched as a fan of our conference that saw Kansas State dominated by Louisville. By the middle of the third quarter of the K-State game it was clear that I was watching bad football and a Big 12 team getting beaten. The score looked far closer at the end of that game than it really was, and watching this game ESPN spent more time hyping the Ryder Cup and Sportscenter than the game and programs on the field.
All that said the Colorado game while possibly too close for a fan of the team was captivating for viewers around the country and more importantly hopefully in the Denver metro area. The atmosphere looked incredible, the game was close and another important item of note the finish capped it all off with a win for CU. A game on ESPN on Thursday night can do great things for a program, but it can also be a blip on the radar. With the way they won, the way CU fans presented themselves and the drama of overtime this one could provide a big boost toward the ultimate goal for Coach Hawkins and the Buffs.
Again congrats CU...I'm sure your not awake yet after that celebration...or possibly not even asleep but you represented the conference well, played a very good game and most importantly continued to move this program in the right direction. See you in three weeks and Stewart and Scott are going to be a deadly one, two punch in the very near future.

Thanks Kansas fan
I hope this continues what Coach Hawkins has been building, wins over quality opponents can only help CU and the Big 12, sorry about K-State game
