Arizona State Now Enters the Diante Jackson Sweepstakes
The Buffs need you Diante...Just come to Boulder!
According to the Rivals player page for Diante Jackson, Arizona State has now come into play along with Colorado and Oregon State. I have heard that Hawkins and the coaches are pulling out the stops with one official visit and maybe a second later in the week.
This is a kid who usually likes the last thing he has seen or heard. After his visit during spring ball, Diante said CU was his #1, after he visited to Oregon, he committed. After he visited CU the week of Iowa State, he was close to changing his commitment. It might be like the announcers say, "the last one to have the ball may win this one." Hopefully, Hawkins has the last word.
Greg Biggens of ESPN reports that Diante "needs about two more weeks." Diante also said this:
"I know what I want to do but I need to go over things with my family and my coaches. It's still Oregon and Colorado and both schools have come in for home visits.
"Coach (Nick) Aliotti came in from Oregon and Coach (Eric) Kiesau from Colorado. Both visits went good but I think the main thing I learned was how good the academic support at Colorado is. Like I said, they're both good schools and I should end this pretty soon here."

Who knows with DJack right now but the Buffs sure need him. He says "he knows what he wants to do"...hopefully, he still has that Buff fever

So let's see...
We already have WR commitments from Simmons, Darden, and Olatoye, with BrYce McNeal still on the board with CU in the running (though I think that’s a serious longshot), and this kid Terdema Ussery from Dallas, TX said in an interview with Scout.com that he was going to be taking an official visit to Colorado in the new year. They have him rated as a 4 star WR, while Rivals has him as a 3, and Rivals also has him set up for his visit to Colorado on January 16, and listed as his new favorite. All those guys, plus a few more who have yet to commit to schools with CU in the running, plus Jackson.
I’d say that while the CU recruiting class is underwhelming so far, with some major disappointments (Kasa, Keenan Graham are my top 2), the team is certainly not down and out yet. They’re still in play for a lot of good recruits (guys like Michael Clay, Bradley McDougal, various DTs with names I won’t even try to spell) and I think there’s plenty of time to turn this ship around.
They call me Bubblegum.
