From the Daily Camera about Tomlinson

Based on the way the rest of the Buffs played during a 62-46 loss to the Horned Frogs — a team picked to finish last in the Mountain West Conference — this team will be buried if Tomlinson misses six weeks with a stress fracture in his foot.

Without their promising starting point guard the Buffs had five assists and 20 turnovers in the game.

“We didn’t show up,” sophomore guard Cory Higgins said. “We had no heart. We played like we didn’t want to be here.”

Tomlinson was averaging 9.6 points, 3.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game despite sustaining the injury in the second half of the opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

He will undergo an MRI today to determine if there is a stress fracture, the worst-case scenario, or if it’s just a painful bone bruise he can continue to play through.

When asked how big an impact not having Tomlinson was, Jeff Bzdelik said “excuses are for losers.”

Bzdelik should have a talk with hawkins

Any chance he knows how to coach football?

That is exactly what I was thinking about

I knew you would catch on too skibum…maybe Bzdelik should coach the football team next year and Hawkins should coddle the basketball team
