Tuesday Morning Buff Bites
Some good news on the recruiting front after a tough couple of days, according to Scout.com, 4* DT Edward Nuckols currently lists the Buffs as the favorite for his services. With Hypolite and Nicholas graduating, depth in the interior of defensive line will be imperative.
This Daily Camera writer lays to claim that the Buffs Basketball team is NIT bound with the main reason being a weak non conference schedule. Let's wait a little longer until we deem the Buffs anything other than a program rebuilding but things are looking up.
The Buffs basketball team takes on Montana State tonight. If you haven't checked out our preview of the game, here it is. Bzdelik says they won't overlook the Bobcats. I don't think the Buffs can overlook anyone yet.
"We have tremendous respect for everybody," Bzdelik said before Monday's practice. "And we all know what happened the last time Montana State came to town."
Please don't remind us of that day coach.
The Cornhuskers have a lot to play for next Friday. A win against the Buffs would enact revenge for the game last year and improve their overall bowl standings. The Jan 1 Gator Bowl looks to be the prize for the Huskers if they were to win. Also a top 25 ranking isn't out of the question either.
Nebraska's offense has come full circle this season after embarrassing performances against Virginia Tech and Missouri. The key? Pelini attributes it to changing their offensive scheme to put the players in the right situations to be successful. Can the Buffs gets some of that medicine? Since the early season losses, Nebraska has exploded on offense and are currently ranked 10th in the nation in total offense. A big reason for the offensive success has been the play of QB Joe Ganz, who was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Kansas State. Hopefully the Buffs can join in on Ganz's interception parade. Against OU and Kansas State last week, Ganz has thrown interceptions that went for defensive touchdowns.
OC Varsity ranks CU commit Clark Evans as the #5 ranked quarterback in California, right behind USC bound Matt Barkley. Here is what they said about Evans:
5. Clark Evans (Los Alamitos): This Colorado-bound QB is a double threat. He can throw the long ball and he can scramble for yards on the ground. He’s easily the most mobile QB in the county.

Clark Evans
In my very uninformed opinion, it seemed like Jordan Wynn would have been identical to Tyler Hansen. If Clark Evans is truly as mobile as listed, he should be the QB of the future for the Buffs. I hope he stays in the boat.

yeah, easily the most mobile QB in the country?
I like the sound of that. It was Wynn who was gonna enroll early, right? I wonder if there’s any chance Evans will do the same. It would be nice if he could be in the mix next season.
