KSU's Kicker Named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week After Missing Two Field Goals? WHAT!

4

Here is what the Big 12 said about Kansas State kicker Brooks Rossman. BIG 12 SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK Brooks Rossman, Kansas State, PK, Sr, San Diego, Calif. Brooks Rossman nailed two field goals in Kansas State’s one-point loss at Colorado, including a career-long of 53 yards. It was the eighth-longest field goal in school history and the longest in the Big 12 this season. Rossman is 7-of-9 on the year in field goals and 34-of-35 in point after attempts. The best part is they say he is 7 - 9 for the year on field goals. That is two misses...the same two field goals shanks that he missed in the CU game! This maybe the worst award ever given to a player in the history of sport. He missed two field goals and they lost by one. How does that deserve an award? Is my math wrong? What the hell were they thinking. With that logic, Buffs K Aric Goodman should have been name the special teams player of the week for his performance against FSU. I am confused.
