he goes from being the leading receiver last year and the first few games this year to completely invisible. I don’t get this offense. It’s getting worse every game. I’m starting to think that hawkins was so succesful at boise because of pederson. Helfrich is a joke and it doesn’t look like hawk can win without an elite offensive coordinator

Why would you doubt Texas?
They’ve done as good as OU in their games this year with arguably the same degree of difficulty. Sorry, but Washington, Cinci, and TCU are not teams that can beat top 15 teams.

Muschamp might be the best D coordinator in the Big XII, and Texas is not lacking innovation on offense. Coaching is a wash, talent is a wash, these two teams were/are equals and this game is showing that.
Muschamp is a great adjuster.
I love watching how he sees what the offense does in the first half and turns around and clamps down on it in the second. Not to mention he’s about as fiery a guy as you’ll see.

I wasn't bashing Texas
they are obviously a good team and I didn’t think OU would kill them, I thought they would win by about 10. I just think OU is better and that they have a better coaching staff. I stand by that.
No doubt.
But when you have the greatest in-state recruiting pipeline, Texas should be dominant every single season. 10 win seasons are nice, but they underachieve like no other.

This game is going to be my breaking point
I didn’t mind the Texas beatdown and was leery of the FSU game, but this os one we had to have, or at least be competitive in, and we’ve given every opportunity back and then some, and the personnel packages just don’t make sense anymore.

I like hawks attitude and his recruiting but on game day I don’t think I can think of one game during his time here where I would say “we won that game because we outcoached them” I can think of 10 occasions where I would say “we lost that game because of coaching”

Selvin Young being out probably means more Andre Hall, which means more of me banging my forehead on the desk. No Scheffler means more Graham, which means more dropped passes. Playing against Jacksonville is always nice because the games are usually good, but unless our run D plays out of it’s mind, we might get bowled over by that running game.

Here's your solutions:
-Pittman likely gets young’s carries, and that’s a good thing because he should have had them in the first place.
-Jackson will get Scheffler’s passes. I don’t like Jackson too much but he’ll do.
-Real problem is Royal likely won’t be worth much in with his ankle. That means we will see much of Glenn Martinez. Real concern is how Denver’s personnel dep’t can find a better player than Martinez on the street…
Oh god.
That means Martinez will be returning punts, too. Which means if our defense forces four punts, we’re likely to see at least one fumble.

are reasons we shouldn’t get too concerned about the future. When healthy, CU will have a great O-Line over the next few years, especially if Givens shifts inside (or flat beats out Solder, highly possible).
Add in the redshirted linebackers, and this team still has good talent, and it looks as if Hawkins is still making hay on the recruiting trail. Supposedly Burfict could be taking a visit.

OU's O-Line is once again exposed by speed.
I like Duke, but someone is going to spend a high pick on Loadholt and that same someone will be looking for their money back in two years. He’s the new Mike Williams, sooner style.

spends that money. Bradford looked a lot like Little Hawk on the past few series. Protection makes a huge, HUGE difference.

well, another frustrating saturday
I’m now thinking we’ll be lucky to finish 6-6. 7-5 was the minimum record going into the year that I would of been happy with

I can't get too down yet
because I’m still buying into our future here, and Dan is a winner in the homes of high schoolers. We are still fresh off a huge recruiting class and the honeymoon is still not over.
They may take a few steps back this year, but let them get healthy and get their talented redshirts on the field and we should be pleased with our Saturdays a year from now.

Last year was a surprise for them to make a bowl game, and their recruiting is bringing the program along in the right direction. I still think two years from now is the time for us to really raise the expectations. Next year some development and progress will be needed, but I am excited for the future. Hopefully, he wins over some strong defensive players and brings in another solid recruiting class.
